Maybe it’s his English accent, or his good looks, or maybe it’s just his chic photographic style, but I recently became a fan of Nigel Barker’s work. He’s got a really polished style which gives a really grand feeling and his lighting techniques are fabulous. I really fancy his creative and technical craft.
Following his blog, I found an interesting post he made recently. He mentioned how good the Sony Alpha pro cameras have gotten and even took them out for a test drive. Being a Sony Alpha user myself, it’s about time that they got some raves and pro recommendation. The Sony Alpha cameras offer a number of things that most don’t know about; a combination of Konica/Minolta heritage, superb engineering of Zeiss glass, and innovations that set them ahead of the competition. Even Nikon has gotten on board by implementing Sony’s very own massive 25 mega pixel sensor into their top of the line camera, the D3x. But before I sound like a Sony spokesperson, check out this new TV ad that features Nigel Barker himself, football superstar Peyton Manning, and the icing on the cake, Justin Timberlake. It’s a pretty funny commercial that’s more memorable than actually making sense and can’t wait for the rest of the campaign to come out!
